The surgery went smoothly and char has already started walking on her own. She still complains of pain in her wound but is insisting to 'control' her pain rather than relying on pain relief meds.

I'm new to your story. As a mom of three, one of whom is a little girl, I really teared up reading your outpouring of grief and helplessness. And yet, amazed at how you're all soldiering on, doing what needs to be done. You're not alone. Hugs.
I'm angry at all these things which are happening to Charmaine. i want to put on my boxing gloves and box the hell out of the illness. urgh!
